Animal Portraits

My portrait work explores those uncomplicated moments of joy that animals and nature give us - the play of light and shadow on a cat sleeping in the sun, the soulful expression in the eyes of a beloved companion, the daring curiousity displayed by a foal or lamb investigating its surroundings.

I enjoy working in several different media, often combining them to best capture the character of the subjects I paint.

I donate 10%  from each portrait commissioned  to All Heart Pet Rescue in Powassan, Ontario.  Together we can help to make a difference in the life of an abandoned or abused animal.
